A Place For Everything

Dear JONC.nl-readers,

It's been an insanely busy week for me. Working from 09:00-18:00 wasn't too bad and I am glad that I could fall asleep right away when I crashed in bed, but it was just because I was way too knackered after a 3-hour lecture for 3 consecutive nights.
Familiarization is almost finished, we called it 'Honeymoon' because it was as relaxing as the real one, I have met many people this week and also learned quite a lot of things which are not too easy to be absorbed and digested at once I have to say.
I am really tired both emotionally and physically because I've been going through a difficult time at my end and hopefully this will end soon.

The weather has been very nice here; it was quite warm in the beginning of the week, I specially appreciated the sunshine here because you get to see the sun and the blue sky, which reminded me of my vacations back in the Netherlands and Hokkaido.
Food is indeed very delicious here, not to mention the price and the value.
I am in fact kind of English with my lifestyle, I must have at least one cup of English tea each day because I believe it will give me a good start to the day. The most (you may consider of the worst) I could have is 7 cuppas a day... and yeah I know I am OTT.

Direction: no. 92 bus departs at Diamond Hill (MTR Station) Bus Terminus @ HK$5.50
Duration: approx. 35 minutes (non-peak hours) – one hour (peak hours)

Week 2... OMG, honeymoon is over and I will start working at 07:00. You may all think that it's very early but for me it's really okay coz at least I don't need to get up at half past 3 in the morning like I used to when I was working in the airport.
It's my Day Off today and I went to Sai Kung with my friend Sandy.
We liked it there because it's not too far away from where we live and yet we are able to enjoy the atmosphere where you hardly get right in the city like MongKok and Tsim Sha Tsui. It's lovely there and if any of you ever come back for vacation, you may go for a visit.

There is an urban swimming pool, a pier where you see a lot of boats selling fresh seafood, of course some seafood restaurants along the seaside, famous Thai & local restaurants, cafés, pubs, pet shops, a dirty beach, an wide open playground for dogs... many dogs I must say, BBQ buffets and you can even get on a boat and go to other small islands at approximately HK$30 for return.

Having an exam on this coming Wednesday and I don't have too much time left for revision, I really hope that I will do well...

So I gotta go now, hope you are all having a great weekend in the Netherlands.

Love,
Kamen xx

P.S. Thank you for the comments!
Argh... I don't have the time to watch 'Rolling Love' yet

Last summer was also my very first time in Sai Kung. I've been told that Sai Kung is famous for its divine seafood. So guess what we had for dinner. After picking out our own seafood at the fish market, we went to a nearby seafood restaurant letting it prepare. No seafood is probably more delicious than their freshly prepared seafood with their local ingredients. For our late evening desserts we went to the renowned Honeymoon Dessert Shop at the Po Tung Road. I ordered a chilled lychee mango sago coconut soup Just thinking back the moment I had a taste of this sweet dessert makes my mouth start watering all over again Goodbye for now and good luck! We're sure you'll do great!

Last year I went for the first time to Sai Kung. It was nice there. There are many celebrities living there. I read about the tragic touringcar accident in Sai Kung this month. So sad! Here in Holland it's sunny too. But sunshine will never last too long here. Good luck with the exam. Bye bye.
